Signs of US belligerence toward Iran are escalating -- all top Bush officials are now claiming Iran is

waging a "proxy war" in Iraq, is "hell-bent" on building nuclear weapons, is the world's leading sponsor

of "terrorism," and is preventing Middle East peace. There have been ominous military moves in the

region, and six weeks ago Bush signed a secret order authorizing covert actions against Iran from

Lebanon to Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff warns, the US is

considering its military options and not out of military "capacity."
