Native Plant Nursery Workdays (ongoing December 15, 2008).
Join us every Friday from 1pm - 4pm to prepare seeds, sow and tend native plants we are growing in our watershed nursery for local stream restoration projects. We will work with maples, oaks, hazelnut, all kinds of berries, ferns, willows, dogwoods, redwoods and more. Workdays range from cold wintery days to hot summer days... so come prepared with appropriate clothing, snacks and water.

Help restore streamside habitat for endangered Coho salmon with SPAWN and AmeriCorps by removing invasive plants along Lagunitas Creek.
 
WHEN: Saturday, June 7, 2008 9AM- 3PM
 
WHERE: 9255 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Olema, CA along Lagunitas Creek.  1.6 miles West of Devil's Gulch between Lagunitas and Olema
 
Wear sturdy shoes and layered clothes; bring gloves (if you have them- we can provide some) and plenty of water.

The AmeriCorps Watershed Stewards Project (WSP) is a community-based watershed restoration program which places 44 members throughout Northern California from San Francisco to the Oregon border.  WSP's mission is to conserve, restore, and sustain anadramous watersheds for future generations by linking education with high quality scientific practices. A special project of the California Conservation Corps, WSP is sponsored by the California Service Corps and administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
