The BAYCAT Youth Program offers free TV production and animation courses for students ages 11-17. Courses are held at the BAYCAT studio.

DIGITAL TV PRODUCTION

Create and produce your own TV show! Broadcast your ideas about your community and your world. You'll learn camera, lighting, editing techniques, and how to use visual effects like the green screen. Your final creations will be broadcast on Zoom-In 17, BAYCAT's award-winning TV show.

ANIMATION

Create your own animated short film! Learn about animation and character design in a professional environment using Adobe Flash software. Your final animation will be screened in this spring's episode of BAYCAT's Zoom-In.

The Studio BAYCAT Filmmaking and Graphic Design Internship is a competitive program that will enroll three talented digital media producers from the Bay Area community.

Interns are paid a stipend and will gain knowledge of workplace skills while developing a professional design and/or video production portfolio and reel. Interns also have an opportunity to observe and gain hands-on experience in the digital media industry.

The Spring 2010 internship program will offer technical training and mentorship for a graphic designer, a cinematographer and an editor. Please specify which track you are interested in when you apply.
