The Truman Show as Allegory for Religious Peer Pressure

Obvious to me. Hiding the non-Christian world from me as best they could as I grew up. Extreme pressure to not even consider other possibilities. Claiming that their religions are protecting us from the otherwise (actual) harsh reality of our mortality. And spending a great amount of time and money to create their sub-world full of churches to promote their alternate reality of heaven and hell. The analogy goes pretty far.
