A San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit that promotes sustainable, healthy oceans through education, science, advocacy, and actions. OceanHealth.Org was founded in 2007 to promote connections between the health of the oceans and human health, emphasizing that ocean health is our health. Our organization promotes personal choices that protect public health while also creating healthy ocean and coastal ecosystems.
OceanHealth.Org strives to protect threatened and endangered marine species that are impacted by our actions as consumers and citizens. Annually, OceanHealth.Org and its cosponsors host beach cleanups, film festivals, and other activities in recognition of World Oceans Day on June 8, a United Nations holiday to celebrate and take action for our oceans.
