Since 1989, DrawBridge has provided weekly expressive arts programs free of charge to children in shelters, affordable housing sites and community centers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Trained facilitators and volunteers promote a safe and supportive environment for each child to explore the playful creativity that is so important to healthy development. Our approach allows kids to establish their own direction, pace of creation and depth of self-exploration. Avoiding expectations, we believe that there is nothing in a child that needs fixing.
