Acción Latina addresses social issues through journalism and cultural arts. We publish El Tecolote, a 35-year-old bilingual newspaper, which has served as a training ground for community youth to learn journalism skills. We also have an annual concert called the Encuentro del Canto Popular, which promotes nueva cancion and features Latino musicians from Latin America, the Caribbean and the Bay Area.
