The keynote speaker is Harley Shaiken, chair of the UC Berkeley Center for Latin American Studies. He will be honored along with Robert Rubin Esq., Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights and Beatriz Manz, UC Berkeley professor of Ethnic Studies. Music by David Cacanindin and Francisco Herrera.

The EBSC is celebrating its outreach programs in Haiti and Guatemala, and Refugee Rights Program, which has just won its 1,100th political asylum case.
