On Thursday, November 5th, the Transgender Law Center will celebrate seven years of service to the community and we want you to join us! Since TLC was created in 2002, they have helped transform California into the most transgender-friendly state in the country. We have more legal protections than anyone thought feasible less than a decade ago, and transgender issues and people are more visible than ever.

None of this progress would be possible without the dedication, passion, and support of many outstanding leaders, collaborators and allies in the movement for transgender equality - including you.

Please join us at TLC's 7th anniversary event as we recognize two of our movement's most influential activists -- Cecilia Chung and Jamison Green -- with the 2009 Claire Skiffington Vanguard Award. And because no movement can advance without incredible partners and allies, TLC's 2009 Partner Award will be presented to Lyon-Martin Health Services and Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center/TransTHRIVE, and the 2009 Ally Award to The California Wellness Foundation and Juanita More.

It won't be all awards and talking heads, though. If you've ever been to a TLC event, you know you'll have a good time! This year's celebration will feature celebrity guests like Chaz Bono and performances from Josh Klipp. So put on your party best and join TLC for THE annual event supporting the movement for transgender rights.
