Candlelight Vigil for 45,000 People Who Die Each Year Due to Lack of Health Caretombstones

Harvard University recently released a report finding that nearly 45,000 people die each year because they cannot get needed health care. In response communities of faith across the country will mark Oct. 20 as a National Day of Remembrance and Hope.  This simple service of candlelight, story sharing, remembering, prayers and song will be an opportunity to commit to continue our work in hopeful expectation for comprehensive and compassionate health care reform!  Everyone is welcome.  Click here for more information.

A time to come together for reflection, remembering and healing in the wake of the teen suicides in our community.
Everyone is welcome to join us to light a candle, walk the labyrinth, write a memory, say a prayer, or simply sit in silence. Spiritual leaders from diverse traditions will be available for those who wish to speak to someone. Youth groups are welcome. For more information click here.

Keeping the Faith: Interfaith Candlelight Rally to Support Marriage Equality
Monday, Nov. 2, 6-7pm
Meet at First Christian Church

We will march to City Hall.
At the one year anniversary of the passage of Proposition 8, we will stand together, not looking back - but moving forward - as part of a movement of faith communities across the state gathering this same evening. Hear testimony from faith leaders, civic leaders and youth.  Through prayers from diverse traditions, lively music and sacred scripture, we will Keep the Faith for equality for all people!

 We invite you to join us in expressing together the justice & compassion of Jesus.
