An intentional community in Mendocino County, California. We are located on 189 beautiful acres of mixed forest and meadows, which is owned by our non-profit corporation Emerald Earth Sanctuary. We make decisions by consensus, and value direct, open communication and conflict resolution. We are currently looking for new members.
On our somewhat remote rural site, we practice sustainable living skills such as organic gardening, permaculture, herbal medicine, natural building, and home power generation. We teach workshops on these topics and our members have written books on natural building and green spirituality. We also have occasional work parties and are sometimes open to short-term visitors and longer-term work traders.
